ACO is an ambassador for the UN SDG 6
UNESCO and the UN World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) have appointed ACO as an ambassador for the sixth UN Sustainable Development Goal, “Clean Water and Sanitation,” in celebration of UNESCO’s 2025 anniversary year. This partnership highlights our global commitment to integrating every project into the ACO WaterCycle, making each initiative a symbol of sustainable water management.
Through the 2030 Agenda (“Transforming Our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”), UNESCO has set a global objective to drive sustainable development. At its core are 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and 169 specific targets established by the United Nations (UN), addressing key social, environmental, and economic challenges. The goal is for all UN member states to implement these transformative changes by 2030.
Water plays a crucial role in the quality of life for people worldwide. Recognizing this, the United Nations (UN) has prioritized improving water quality as one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) outlined in its 2030 Agenda. Through our comprehensive, water-focused business model, we make significant contributions to three key SDGs: the sixth (Clean Water and Sanitation), the ninth (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and the eleventh (Sustainable Cities and Communities).
