Service Enclosures

Beneath our feet there are thousands of kilometres of water, cable and sewerage infrastructure, which carry essential services to the community. These services are owned and managed by a diverse range of authorities and asset owners: water authorities, councils, state and federal government departments and power and telecommunications companies.

At the ground level, access to this network is critical for inspection and maintenance. Below the surface, enclosures housing cables must be safe and durable.

Each service network requires enclosures to be positioned across various urban and landscape environments. The diversity of these environments requires consideration of a number of factors when specifying enclosures. The importance of these factors varies on the application:

  1. Security: to prevent unauthorised access.
  2. WH&S considerations.
  3. Weatherproofing.
  4. Strength and durability.
  5. Visual integration.

ACO’s utility enclosures offer excellence in all five areas, whilst protecting cables and water from people and protecting people from cables and water.
