ACO acquires PitLok Industries
On 1st February 2018, ACO acquired the assets of Pitlok Industries resulting in the acquisition of a concrete manufacturing plant in Goulburn NSW, for the production of SCEC (Security Construction and Equipment Committee) endorsed enclosures for the Department of Defence.
With immediate effect ACO in Australia takes total control of not only the sales and marketing of ACO Pitlok and Covercom products, but also full manufacturing responsibility for all components.
The SCEC endorsement and all patents and trademarks associated with both Pitlok and Covercom products are now owned by ACO Pty Ltd.
The ACO Pitlok and ACO Covercom range has been fully tested and assessed by the national security service of Australia who appraises on behalf of SCEC. SCEC have subsequently endorsed the lids, plinths and pits for the ‘Protection of Classified Material’ to SL1 and SL2 respectively.
This acquisition is a strategic one for ACO and it highlights the ongoing commitment by ACO to be product innovators and market leaders in the market segments it targets. ACO has been selling cable utility enclosures for more than twenty years under the ACO Cablemate® brand.
ACO is also pleased to announce that all employees from this facility agreed to join ACO from February 1, 2018. ACO have written to all ACO customers and consultants in the SCEC community informing them of this important development.
